The Aleph Bet: Hebrew Course

Learn to follow and pronounce Hebrew in three sessions!
August 19, 26 & September 2, 5-7pm

Wouldn’t the Days of Awe this year be even more awesome if you could follow the Hebrew in the prayerbook rather than rely on transliteration?

We are profoundly grateful that our friend, Hebrew tutor Bob Levy, has agreed to teach a short course to adults, teaching us to pronounce and follow Hebrew in the prayerbook. This skill is a prerequisite for the adult b’nai mitzvah class coming later in the fall, and it’s also fun and not as difficult as you might think, especially when you learn it with Bob Levy.

There are 3 sessions planned for Sunday evenings from 5-7pm, August 19, 26, and September 2, with reviews or further study on dates to be determined closer to the start date of the B’nai Mitzvah course (October 29). Class limited to 15 people, so let us know ASAP!

Fee:
$5-10 donation per session for members
$10 donation per session for non members

My friend Steve Licker would like to take this class. He is currently not a member, though he is involved in the Saturday Minyan and Book Group. He will likely continue with B’Nai Mitzvah training if space is available.

I would like to take the Aleph Bet class too if space is available, both for my benefit and to encourage Steve.

Do you have two spots available and what is the cost?

    Thank you!
