BCC Friday Night Prayer Book
The BCC Friday Night Prayer Book is a living document first written and compiled in the ‘70s by BCC’s ritual committee. Under the leadership of member Harriet Perl ז”ל, BCC’s Siddur was one of the first, if not the very first, Reform prayer books to be written in gender-neutral language. Our Siddur contains many translations and writings written by members, including LGBTQ+-inclusive and feminist liturgy not found in any other prayer book.
The most recent version, updated in 2018 is available here to follow our service while watching via live stream, or in the event that you find yourself unable to pray with BCC in person but would like to pray.
This edition is a transitional publication, as our Ritual Committee is in the early stages of expanding and deepening the BCC Siddur. In the event that you see typos or errors, we would appreciate you alerting us to what you’ve found.
This prayer book is copyright BCC and we ask that you not reproduce it or re-use it in another publication without first obtaining permission from BCC. Please contact our Executive Director Rabbi Jonathan Klein if you would like to use it in part or in whole for anything other than individual prayer.
