In the Beginning … We start Genesis this Week!
Yeah! The Book of Genesis! Over the next couple of months we’ll enjoy all our favorite stories. Bereshit (Gen. 1:1- 6:8) the first portion in Torah is fittingly a portion of firsts. The first creation, first human, first human partnership, first transgression, first birth, first death, and so on. The Torah: A Women’s Commentary points out that the underlying theme of Bereshit is “Creation and Transformation.” Please join us reflect on what we want to create and transform in our lives this coming year.
