Resources for Queer Youth and Parents


Youth Advisory Coalition (YAC) is a Los Angeles LGBT Youth Supportive Organization effectively collaborating in advocacy, programs and services leading to safe schools, systems and communities in LA County.

Studies have shown that teens in the LGBT community are more likely to misuse alcohol and drugs and tend to continue that misuse throughout their lives. works to spread awareness of this issue and to be an informational resource for those impacted by alcohol and drug dependence.

LGBTQ+ Drug and Alcohol Treatment Resources: People in the LGBTQ+ community are more likely to experience social stigma, discrimination, rejection, abuse and ostracism from society and even their families. People who identify as anything but heterosexual often face more challenges in their life, in addition to daily stressors, and as a result are at a higher risk of developing mental health and substance use disorders.
