Vegan Rosh Hashana Potluck and Film Screening

Sunday, September 15th, 11:30 am to 3:30 pm @BCC

Join us for a FREE vegan potluck brunch to celebrate the coming of Rosh HaShana, the Jewish New Year, a time of reawakening and joy. Bring your favorite dish to share, and be sure to sample our vegan honey and apples along with a variety of delicious foods.

After our potluck, we will be screening A Prayer for Compassion, an award-winning documentary and the only film ever made to explore the intersection of food, animals, and religion from an interfaith perspective. Jewish Veg is featured prominently in the film, discussing the important connection between veganism and Jewish values.

Following the film you will have the opportunity to participate in a discussion with the director, Thomas Wade Jackson, along with Rabbi Jonathan Klein, member of Jewish Veg and BCC’s Executive Director. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged to support the important work of this movement.
